Outback Flexmax 80 Charge Controller
I built A second system this year and maxed out the with 10 Kc130tm panels ( thats what I had bought for last Years test so I bought more) and ran the wire in series of 5 panels and 2 banks of cells. ( see pictures in album ) feed the out put into the controller and output into the battery system Of the Lawrence Co. Emergency training center in New Castle Pa. the best I could get was 800 watts saturday but we ran Radio Equipment lighting ect, all night untill just before the sun would come up the voltage of the batts was 12.3 volts. Sunday morning when the sun hit the panels between the clouds 1200 watts voltage was 14.8 and amps 81.1. (please see Pictures sent picture to document)\r\n\r\nBottom line is This is the most flexable controller on the market and you need to use enough of the power in the battery bank to get full out put.\r\n\r\nP.S the generators did not have to be used to operate equipment or charge batteries just the mcrowave for the dinner. (did not have a inverter big enough)
