Samlex America 2500W 24V Inverter w/25A Transfer Switch

Samlex 2500W 24V Inverter

This inverter offers good value for the money. Installation was fairly straightforward, and the unit is light enough that you don't need an army of helpers to mount it. I was especially impressed with how little RF "hash" it puts out, compared to "Brand O". While it will start my 1/2 horse 220V deep well pump, there isn't as much reserve capacity as the modified wave inverter it replaced. Specifically this means in my case the pump and washer can't run at the same time. (Make sure pressure tank is full before starting washer). One adjustment that is not documented anywhere in the manual is the output voltage setting. Mine came factory set at 110V rather than 120V. There are two small DIP switches visible under the ventilation slots on the top cover. There is no guide to setting these, but I took a guess and moved the second (right) one from off to on and restarted the inverter whereupon the output was 120V. This is not documented in the manual or on Samlex (Cotek) website either, that I could find. This unit is in an off-grid application and has run flawlessly since installation.
