SureSine 300 Watt inverter

Very pleased with this unit. Been using it actually to run a 12 cu ft regular Sears freezer and ti works fine. NOTE however that it was never designed to provide the kind of overload a fridge or freezer normally demands to start. Being in electronics, I was able to modify the freezer and add a start capacitor and a couple of other things to ease the start surge to something the inverter could provide. Not something most people could do. I've been very impressed with this inverter and one of the reasons I picked it was the wide operating temp range it con handle and that it has no fan to fail. It's located in an outbuilding, subjected to very cold temps this time of year. Would I buy another - - you bet I would! A real quality produce. The only thing I would improve would be the location of the operating indicator LEDs. They both are way down in a hole and you have to look straight into the face of the unit to see the lights down in their holes. However that's a convenience problem only. It is a bit weird though if using it in the auto start mode. About every second, it fires up for just an instant to check for any loads. Over and over and over and over. The nature of the design. I don't use it in that mode, so not a prob for me. I use the remote start feature and that works awesome.
