I installed my 5548 almost one year ago and it's been operating just fine. I have one issue with it that was not explained in the beginning, if you plan to connect it to the grid you MUST have a battery size compatible to a fully non-grid tie system (Get at least 500amp/hr battery capacity). My original battery size was to small so no matter what I did, the unit cycled between battery charge and sell when the sun did not shine enough. This caused the unit to be very inefficient. Once I increased the battery capacity, it worked better. It's not the greatest inverter for grid tie, but it truly works great as a non-grid tie inverter. Would I purchase again, absolutely as a non-grid tie.
