There's no other battery monitor that I have found that has a form factor compatible with a standard automotive dashboard. I haven't tried the Xantrex XBM, which is supposedly replacing this model, but Xantrex does not supply a prescaler for use with higher voltage batteries as found in an EV. I'm not all that impressed with the display on this unit, but if you need a battery monitor for your EV and want it to blend in with your other gauges, this is the one to get.
