We use TACO pumps in all of our solar thermal installations that require AC pumps. I like them because they are efficient, well made and easy to work with. TACO is located in Rhode Island and I have toured their factory, which is quite impressive.\r\n\r\nThe TACO 009B/F model has been our work horse for high head drainback systems. I normally install the \"B\" model because most code inspectors like to see that set up with a single wall heat exchanger. As long as only distilled water is used in the solar loop, then both side of the heat exchanger qualifies as a potable water system, or so I have been told.\r\n\r\nRegardless, we like the TACO 009 pump.\r\n\r\nPaul Thurst\r\nSun Volt Solar
