I bought a few different CFL - 12volt lamps. This particular one is a great energy efficient light. I lights up the cabin in the woods and uses so little energy that a drain is barely noticeable on the batteries. It is adequate for ambient lighting around a kitchen sink or a washroom. For reading go a step or two higher in wattage. I am so pleased with the compact fluorescent and what it has done for my solar lighting needs.
