Southwest Windpower's Whisper 200 MARINE is the Marine Grade version of the Whisper 200 (new H80). The difference in the Marinized is the following:

• Frame Powder coated instead of painted
• Bolts and screws stainless
• Circuit Board and Regulator is marinized
• Brushings and slip ring

It produces 1000W peak power at 12V to 48V & comes with Wind Charge Controller. Comes by default set to 24V, can be also adjusted to 24, 36 and 48V.

Formerly the Whisper H80, the Whisper 200 wind turbine has been updated for 2005 with new features and added flexibility for your renewable energy system. Now, any Whisper 200 can have its voltage changed, 12-48V DC, within a few minutes in the field. The Whisper 200 is designed to operate in a site with low to medium speed averages of 8 mph, 3.6 m/s, and greater. The 200 provides 200+ kWh per month, 6.8 kWh per day, in a 12 mph average wind. The Whisper 200 does produce more noise than it’s 100 counterpart, but it does produce almost twice the power.

 

 

In addition to its patented smooth acting side furling design, the Whisper 200 has a number of new features that make it idea for any new or existing photovotaic system.

• New bronze bushing and larger diameter furling pin for smoother furling action

A Whisper 200 during these periods is essential to keep your batteries charged and your lights on.

Exclusive to the Whisper, the side-furling Angle-Governor protects the turbine in high winds by turning the alternator and blades out of the wind, reducing turbine exposure. Unlike other wind turbines that lose as much as 80% of their output when furled, the Angle-Governor allows the Whisper to achieve maximum output in any wind.
