IMC Eagle II Data Port Adapter

For use with the Eagle 1 and Eagle 2 Differential Temperature Controllers. Includes 6' foot cable with RJ45 connector and electronics. It connects directly to the EAGLE controllers and permits serial PC communication at 2400 BAUD rate.


This will allow interface to a standard PC serial port. The adapter can further accept a serial/USB converter to connect directly to PCs or laptops that only have USB ports. The rate at which the data is sent from the EAGLE solar controllers is determined by a jumper in the controller as show in the controller diagram in the Product Documentation section above. If the jumper is placed in position one it will send one complete line of "Total system information" to the PC every 2 seconds, which is necessary when performing diagnostics or a system startup. If the second jumper position is selected then data will be sent every 6 minutes. This will permit long term data logging when receiving the data into a capture file set up in the PC "Terminal" communications program. (The computer requires the "Terminal" or "HyperTerminal" program, a standard accessory program to MS Windows, to interpret the data). The data can then be written to a file.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**
Do not attempt to connect any EthernetT and/or other foreign devices to the RJ45 ports of the IMC controllersand accessories. This will result in damage to the connected equipment. Only devices specifically designed by IMC Instruments should be connect to these ports.
