This package includes all the collectors, mounts, and the system kit for a 600 square foot pool. If your installation includes a break in the collector array to go around an obstacle, for example a chimney on a roof-mounted system, you'll also need to add on the Row Spacer Kit. You may also consider the Auto Control Package if you want differential temperature control and nocturnal cooling control!

How Does Our Solar Pool Heater Work?

Simply.
All you do is set the desired pool temperature on your control panel (see 1 in the diagram) and the sun does the rest. When your electronic controller senses 2 that there is enough sunlight to heat your pool and that your pool is colder than you desire, water is automatically diverted 3 to your solar system 4. Your pool pump 5 sends pool water to the solar collectors. As the water flows through 120 tubes in each collector, the sun’s energy heats it. The solar-heated water then flows back to your pool. This simple cycle continues until your pool reaches your desired temperature. You can also cool your pool during warmer months by simply running your pool pump at night. Your control system will automatically switch to cooling your pool.

Sure-Fit Installation:

Size your system:

The collector square area should be 70% of your pool's surface area. Measure the surface area of your pool and multiply it by 0.70. Now order the quantity of 2' x 10' or 2' x 12' panels to match that number. For example, if your pool is 14' x 28' that's 392 square feet. You will need to order 392 x 0.7 = 274.4 square feet of collectors, or 14 collectors (they're skinny!). For each collector you order, order one Panel Kit. Order only one System Kit for the entire system. If you have an obstruction (e.g. a chimney on a roof) to go around, you may need the Row Space Kit.
