GreenMeter Hybrid Energy Monitor
The GreenMeter is an energy monitor device. It is capable of measuring the amount of power generated from alternative energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines. The unit is also capable of measuring AC currents directly from your homes AC Power Panel/Inverter using the optional AC Current sensors purchase separately. The GreenMeter can also be interface with a personal computer (PC), through a graphical user interface (GUI) for extensive data logging and monitoring of your system.
The GreenMeter is designed for use in either DC based systems (stand alone or Grid-Tied) which make use of a battery bank and an inverter to provide stable AC power, or AC based systems (AC Power Panel) to measure power usage from the grid or inverter. (AC based systems may require one or more AC Sensor Kit).
The GreenMeter™ is an all-in-one solution for power routing, monitoring and logging of your renewable power system. The GreenMeter™ PC software provides up to the minute information on your greenhouse gas savings from your wind and/or solar power systems. Data from four power ports, including your batteries, is measured and logged both on the device itself (timed average) and on your hard drive. When the software is running, real-time data is transmitted and stored on your computer. Critical data on power, current and voltage is tracked for up to 10 years and stored on your hard drive. The Windows® software application presents this data in graphical format for you to use on a website or in a presentation.
New features include an additional 2 AC sensors, bringing the total to four. We still measure four DC power points including the battery. Enhanced software features include the incorporation of an advanced state of charge algorithm for battery state of health reporting and tracking.
Incremental features include weather data collection including temperature, irradiance and wind speed available with the purchase of optional external sensors. The new architecture enables a multi-system approach to DC power monitoring whereby all of the DC sensors could be operating at their own voltages.
Customers can still rely on the user friendly keypad and display and a built in data logging capability allowing data storage for up to one year. A new and improved PC application allows the management of your renewable energy experience from your desktop. One often requested feature that has been added in the version is the ability to export stored data in a format that can be used in spreadsheets.
The newly launched Sunsei solar web service (OPTIONAL, see below for more information) offers customers their own webpage to show the world how their power consumption is being affected by the production of their own renewable energy. For industrial customers, there are other features that appeal to clients with the need for real-time data including the ability to communicate over a GSM mobile network using industry standard modems. As well, for customers with a number of installations a multi-site software applications allows a single instance of our GreenMeter software to monitor a network of up to 256 GreenMeters.

This hosted service will appeal to users who want to demonstrate or show off their commitment to the environment by maintaining a permanent webpage dedicated to logging and displaying the power production of their renewable energy system. Kids can compare their home installations from their classrooms. Companies can use a widescreen TV in their lobby to show the power being produced on their roof tops.
The hosted monitoring service allows viewing of your system performance on any computer that is connected to the internet. You can book mark the URL and access whenever you want or even set it as your home page. Data is stored on ICP servers. The web and the GUI can be used simultaneously.
