Each of these home solar systems are designed to provide you with the main components you will need to take your cabin off the grid! Since each installation is unique, some parts/materials will need to be purchased separately to satisfy the needs of your specific project and local regulations. From premium modules and racking systems, to efficient inverters and durable batteries, these home solar systems include high quality, safe components for your off grid installation.
The 145W cabin home solar system features one Kyocera 145W solar panel. Kyocera is the only module manufacturer to pass rigorous long-term testing performed by TÜV Rhineland for proven field performance. Each Kyocera module has an aesthetically pleasing black anodized frame with easily accessible grounding points on all four corners for fast installation.
Please Note: Schedule 40 pipe for the Ironridge Side-of-Pole mount must be purchased separately.

DC to AC Inverter/Charger
Samlex SAMPST-1500-12 inverters are an economical power conversion solution designed to provide dependable pure sine wave electricity in off grid systems. The SAMPST-1500-12 provides up to 1500W of continuous power. Features include overload protection, low battery alarm / shut down, low idle power draw of less than 1 Amp. AC power is available from a NEMA-20R GFCI duplex outlet on the front panel. Safety certified to UL standards.
Solar Charge Controller
Morningstar’s ProStar is the world’s leading mid-range PWM (pulse width modulated) solar controller for both professional and consumer applications. The ProStar controllers are known for their durability and set new standards for reliability and self-diagostics. This 15A version features an easy to read digital meter display and a 5 year warranty.
Batteries
Deka Solar batteries are engineered and tested to provide reliable, long-lasting back-up power for PV and renewable energy applications where the batteries will be charged/discharged on a daily basis. These sealed AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries are spill proof and 100% maintenance free.
This home solar system includes (2) 6V, 190Ah batteries, which will be wired together for a 12V, 190Ah battery bank. Deep cycle batteries should not be discharged lower than 50%, so a battery bank of this size will provide approximately 460 Watt hours (Wh) of energy per day, for two days when fully charged. This is a rough estimate of capacity, actual capacity can change based on temperature, state of charge and the condition of the batteries. Additional batteries can be added to this system (either 2 or 4) to increase the capacity of the battery bank.
