Outback PV Ground Fault Protection System

OutBack Power Systems model OBB-GFP-80D-125VDC-PNL is an 80 Amp, 125VDC dual pole panel mount breaker and is required by the NEC for PV arrays mounted on or within a specified vicinity of residential dwelling roofs. Also known as a DC-GFP/2, it protects wiring and system components for one or two PV arrays.

This DC-GFP/2 can be used in systems where there is only one array (one controller), but is unnecessarily expensive if there are not plans to expand to a second array/controller. If you are sure you won't want to expand to a second array, you might consider Outback's OBB-GFDI-80-150VDC-PNL, which is sufficient for a single array and about half the price. It also takes up one less breaker spot in the Outback enclosures as well.

Outback GFP UL listed for a maximum of 125 VDC.
