Flooded Batteries Supplied in a Dual Non-Breakable Container, the new design eliminates breakage due to rough handling and abuse. Repairs are simpler and less time consuming. Short circuits from water, dirt, and falling metal objects are eliminated due to a moisture tight protective outer cover.
Environmentally Friendly No Acid LeakageThe new generation of batteries utilizes dual container construction. Each cell is assembled in its own inner container made of high temperature retardant, durable polypropylene with the inner cover heat bonded to the container,(thus acid leakage is eliminated). The cells are then assembled into a high density tough polyethylene outer container with a removable lid. Even if the outer container were to break the battery would still be operable without the harmful affects of sulfuric acid spills.
Optional Cell ConnectionCell replacement is now less frequent, but if necessary, Surrette makes it clean and quick. As an option the individual cells can be bolted together allowing the battery to be repaired, or assembled on location. Cell replacement can be accomplished without special skills or tools.
Enveloped Positive PlatesThe positive plates are doubled insulated. The first layer consists of a thick woven glass mat. The plate and matting are then sealed in a non-destructible, microporous, polyethylene envelope. The envelope eliminates the possibility of separator misalignment, cracked separators, treeing, or shorting at the bottom or sides. The sediment chamber is eliminated allowing more liquid space above the top of the cell, thus lengthening periods between watering.
Rugged Plate ConstructionThe Rezistox Plate Design uses fewer, but heavier, members in the grid (current carrying conductor). More metal where it counts. The heavier members offer more resistance to positive grid peroxidization (corrosion), and allow for greater percentage of power producing active material. (The grid and active material are referred to as the plate.)

Please find to follow an explanation of the freight allowance offered. The offer is broken into three (3) parts, which are based on the location of the destination - either Eastern Zone (East of the Mississippi) or Central Zone (West of the Mississippi) or Western Zone (West of the Rockies) with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii.
Eastern Zone
With the exception of S460 and S530’s, for a minimum order weight of 2000 lbs., Surrette Battery Co. Ltd. will cover all basic freight charges East of the Mississippi.
With a minimum order of eighteen (18) S-460’s or (18) S-530’s (1 full palette), Surrette Battery Co. Ltd. will cover all basic freight charges East of the Mississippi.
Basic freight service does not include extra charges that would be incurred for delivery to non direct service points, residential drops, lift gates, export crating or "calls ahead" (by the Freight Company) prior to delivery.
Basic freight does cover common carrier service, to a commercial drop, for dry or wet batteries, anywhere East of the Mississippi. Our customers will be charged for all additional services required, i.e. lift gate, calls ahead, etc., that will appear as "freight charge" on their invoice. However, Surrette Battery Co. Ltd. will issue no additional charges to the customer without the prior authorization of these charges by the customer. If their order does not reach the minimum requirements, i.e. 1600 lbs. (East of the Mississippi), we will bill for the remaining portion of the freight, i.e. 20% in this case (1-[1600/2000]). Again, the customer will be made aware of and authorize all charges prior to the shipment leaving our facility.
Central Zone
Same as Eastern Zone however minimum order weight is increased to 4000 lbs. - S-460’s and S530’s minimum order quantity is increased to 36 units (2 pallets).
Western Zone
Same as Eastern Zone however minimum order weight
is increased to 6000 lbs. - S-460’s and S530’s minimum order quantity
is increased to 54 units (3 pallets).
Other Shipping Information
i) We will charge a flat fee for the three most common extra charges; Lift Gate - $35.00, Calls Ahead - $23.10 and $35.55 residential delivery (USD).
ii) No charge for Dry charged units however, separate electrolyte is not provided.
ii) Separate electrolyte charge per 20L, UN Approved.
iv) Export crating will cost an additional 5% over the invoiced cost of the battery or shipment, i.e. $15.00 on a $300.00 battery order.
