We have a 3.6 acre island in the Canadian arm of Rainy Lake just norh of Iternational Falls, MN where we live May to October. Our Trace/Xantrex 5548 inverter/charger runs our pressurizing water pumps, lights, DirecTV, Internet and power tools. An Onan 16kW, propane fueled generator was the primary power until propane got so expensive; now, we have Sharp 180W PV panels and an AIR-X wind system that works great to keep our 8 Rolls 12-volt batteries up to potential. The communications systems (cellular & ship-to-shore) are powered by an independent solar syste and battery set. Refrigeration is by the outstanding Crystal Cold products.
