Connecting Hybrids
How do you connect hybrid systems, such as a wind turbine and solar panels.  I know you have a charge controller for each generation system. From the charge controller they both go into the DC Disconnect and then to the batteries.  My question is how do you combine do you wire the DC Disconnect?  If anyone know's anywhere to get diagrams or where to go would be great.

Re: Connecting Hybrids (Reply #1)
I use blocking diodes of the appropriate amperage. For the diesel generator with a 12 volt alternator, I use silicon diodes for the wind and solar sources I use schottky diodes as they have a lower voltage drop.

my system has been in use for 20 years with no problems so far.
